Description

The Council currently spends approximately £4 million per annum on 146 contracted local bus services and, in Partnership with Derby City Council, a further £17.5 million on funding concessionary fares schemes for elderly, disabled and young people. The Council aims to tender contracts that provide value for money whilst meeting what would otherwise be unmet travel demands. This includes ensuring that services are both punctual and reliable.

In order to improve our analysis of the performance of contracts and the performance of operators undertaking these contracts, the Council requires a ticketing analysis solution which will enable it to:

• easily and effectively process, analyse and act upon management reports derived from raw ticketing data,
• effectively monitor operator contract performance, schedule compliance and lost mileage identification.
• carry out concessionary fares analysis from information provided within the Solution on passenger journeys.

Tenders are invited from companies that can provide a Solution that meets the Council’s requirements.
