Tenders are invited for the provision of weed control services for highways and footpaths within Derby

Derby City Council is looking to procure a single suitably qualified company to provide weed control services using spray herbicide on specified streets and footpaths within the city boundary.

The Contractor shall include for all necessary materials, plant, labour and tools etc. reasonably associated with the various operations to provide these services as described in the Specification.

In addition to providing high levels of service as specified, the Contractor will be required to work in accordance with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, in order to minimise potential effects caused by the nature of the contract.

Annual value of this contract will be in the region of £28,000; the initial contract period is for three years with a potential extension of a further two years, to make five years in total and a potential total contract value of £140,000.
